After the initial wobble on the front of the curve, futures remained supported throughout the day. July traded down to $17,700 before trading back to $18,250 over the afternoon. Q3 traded down $17,950 before closing $18,000 / $18,100. Cal20 softened to $14,950, before being paid to $15,000.

A very strong Monday: The entire Panamax curve closed up today after a day of continuous buying: July Panamax traded to $10,300; Q3 to $10,750; Q4 to$10,900 and Cal20 to $9,400. Further down the curve the C22 traded to $8,300.

Supramax/ Handy

The Supramax FFAs ticked up today with a positive index reinforcing the idea that the smaller ships will follow suit to the Panamax excitement. July traded from $9,500 up to $9,700 (+$254) while Q3 opened at $10,100 and traded up to $10,200 (+$196). Q4 traded $10,350 (+$304), and the Cal20 $9,650 (+$267).
