A softer day on Cape; the market eased throughout the day from July starting at $18,500 and closing $17,900, Q3 from $18,300 to $17,900 and Cal20 $15,000 to $14,800. With the market stalling at these numbers we await the physical market to kick on to pull us back up.

Panamax

Another solid day for the Panamax paper: July traded to $10,700; Aug+Sep to $11,000; Q3 to $10.900 and Q4 to $10,900. The deferred contracts remained relatively weak with C20 closing $9,300 / $9,350. The afternoon saw a slight relaxing from the highs after another busy day.

The Supramax market continued to tick up as the index went up +$113. July traded $9,800 and $9,850 (+$96), and AugSep $10,500 (+$37), several times. Q3 printed $10,300 (+23), Q4 $10,425 (+$17), and the Cal20 $9,700 (+$75).
