A slow start on the capes for the week, but after index it got going, $26,250 trading low of the day on August closing $26,500, September low of $22,750 closed at $22,950 value, with the strong physical, the market is under pinned with support, should be interesting market ahead for all involved on capes!

Panamax

Positive gains to start the week on Pmax paper, leading on from Friday. Aug and Sep traded in good volume up to highs of $15,750 and $14,700 respectively.

Meanwhile, Q4 found a ceiling at $13,250 and the Cal20 continued to churn out bigger numbers - $10,200 the conference rate today.

Supramax/ Handy

Smx FFAs opened the week with radical moves as the AugSep pushed up to a high of $13,050 (+$681). The Q3 opened at $12,200 and traded up to $12,400 (+$572), and the Q4 opened $11,400 and traded up to $11,550 (+$425). By day's end the curve ticked back down and closed at the lower end of today's range on Q3 and Q4.
