As a guest, you are not able to view the enquiries and offers that other companies have posted. Maybe you would like to get to know iShipNet Timeline a little better!
Timeline is the main tool of iShipNet platform. This is the place where all business posts (enquiries and offers) are listed. You have to be a registered with iShipNet Company in order to be able to view these posts.
Each registered company belongs to a certain business category (Shipowner, Broker, Ship Yard, etc) that is declared during registration and this is evaluated by our registrations department.
Each business that creates an enquiry or offer post, sets the type of companies that will be able to view this post.
Example 1: A shipowning company posts an enquiry for spare parts and they select that their post will be visible only to "Spare Part Companies" and "Spare Parts Brokers". According to their selection, this post will be visible only to companies that have registered as "Spare Part Companies" and "Spare Parts Brokers". No one else will be able to view this post
Example 2: A shipbroking company posts a vessel's position and they decide that their post will be visible only to "Charterers/Traders" because they do not want other business categories to be able to view their post. Same applies for their S&P, Demolition, etc jobs.
The main idea is that... The Company that posts a Job, has the ability to restrict viewing access to one or more business categories.
Timeline is not the only way for a company to approach others! This can be done on a B2B basis through the inline Private Messenger..
Example 1: The ship will be in the port of Singapore in a few days and will need an agent, spares, chandling company or others. Through the "Companies list" we can filter the agents or chandlers that serve the port of Singapore and contact with them directly through their iShipNet account.
Example 2: A shipowner or broker is looking for a Demo Yard in a specific area that the vessel will call. Through the "Companies list" we can filter the Demo Yards in the area and contact with them directly through their iShipNet account.
